Georgia’s domestic production of drones will launch next year following the testing of the first unmanned aerial vehicle produced by the newly established joint Georgian-Polish company, defence minister Juansher Burchuladze said on Monday.
Burchuladze noted the Delta-WB production had received the advance payment for the task, with the test models to leave the conveyor belt this year.
He also noted the company had been founded by “specialists focused on high technology”.
The minister added Georgian and Polish professionals would work together on the production of drones at facilities of the joint venture, which he said was progressing according to plans.
