Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Wednesday discussed “successful cooperation” and future prospects between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the country’s authorities with Odile Renaud-Basso, the president of the institution.

The government administration cited Garibashvili as noting in the online call the EBRD was not only a “loyal partner” of Georgia but had "greatly contributed" in the democratic development of the country.

The sides discussed “specific directions” of sectoral cooperation, including energy security and energy independence of Georgia and projects of regional importance and aimed at increasing power generation through exclusive green or renewable sources.
