Irakli Beraia, the chair of the Georgian parliament’s committee on defence and security, on Friday said Oleksiy Arestovych, the Ukrainian presidential adviser, was an “absolutely unreasonable person” whose statements “lack common sense and content”.
Beraia was commenting on the statement of Arestovych who on Thursday said Ukraine would “project its power” in Georgia, adding “we will have to save Georgians, Moldova, Armenia” in the wake of Russia’s invasion of his country.
Arestovych is one of the representatives of the [Ukrainian] government, and when a representative of a government makes such a statement, it is very disturbing. This is problematic”, the parliament official said.
Another MP for the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Chikovani, said Arestovych was an “irresponsible person” whose statements were “unacceptable and inadmissible”.
