Relations between Georgia and Armenia and main areas of cooperation were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chair of the Georgian parliament's foreign affairs committee and Ashot Smbatyan, the Armenian ambassador to Georgia.
The meeting focused on the relations between the two countries and the potential of deepening cooperation at the parliamentary level, the parliament’s press office said.

The officials also reviewed the current situation in the South Caucasus region and security challenges.
At the meeting, we emphasised that the relations between the two countries are at the highest level and we agreed on the development of parliamentary relations”, Samkharadze said.
