Relations between Georgia and Poland, European perspective for Georgia and security issues in the Black Sea region were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between a delegation of the Georgian parliament's foreign affairs committee and the Polish deputy foreign minister Marcin Przydacz.
The meeting came as part of a working visit to Poland by committee chair Nikoloz Samkharadze and member Irakli Chikovani, the parliament’s press office said.
The discussion focused on the influence of the Russian aggression in Ukraine on Georgia and mobilisation of international support for granting the country the European Union membership candidate status.

Samkharadze reviewed steps taken by the Georgian parliament and the government to implement the recommendations of the European Commission for granting the country the status.
On his part, Przydacz pledged Poland's “firm support” for Georgia on the path of its European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
