Defence ministry establishes fact of verbal sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination against employee

The general inspection of the defence ministry, following the complaint of the employee, established the fact of verbal sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination against the mentioned individual, the ministry announced on Thursday.

As a result of the inspection, the general inspection prepared the relevant conclusion and dismissed the person accused of the harassment, but the fact of the non-extension of employment contract on a gender basis was not confirmed.

The defence ministry said the above-mentioned fact represented a “single case”, which was responded to “immediately”, as the ministry has been paying “special attention” to “thoroughly” studying and investigating similar allegations.
