Dimitri Muladze, a fireman of Georgia’s emergency management service, has claimed a gold medal at the world veterans judo championships in Krakow, the state body said on Tuesday.

Muladze claimed gold after defeating his British rival Francis Colin in the 58 kg category of the competition.
Teimuraz Mgebrishvili, the head of the emergency management service, and Davit Sukhishvili, the head of the fire rescue department, congratulated Muladze on his victory and handed gifts to the successful professional.

In addition to being a firefighter, Muladze is engaged in judo coaching in central Georgia’s Khashuri municipality.
