Average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by ₾213.3 (about $75) in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of previous year, marking a 16.1 percent increase to reach ₾1.541 (about $544), the national statistics office of Georgia said on Thursday.
Average earnings for women reached ₾1,240.6 (about $438), while men earned ₾1,828.4 (about $645). The statistics body said average monthly earnings of men were higher than those of women in most sectors of the economy.

In the second quarter of the year, average monthly earnings of hired employees in the business sector increased by ₾236.2 (about $83), or 17.0 percent, and equaled ₾1,625.8 (about $574).
Average monthly earnings of hired employees in the non-business and financial sectors increased by ₾170.2 (about $60), or 13.9 percent, and reached ₾1,396.8 (about $493), the body also said.
