Georgia’s Personal Data Protection Service has launched a month-long online campaign focused on the importance of personal data protection for public and private organisations, the state body announced on Thursday.
The Service will publish digital leaflets illustrated with messages on data protection on social media, in a bid to raise awareness on topics like the safe use of digital devices.
It provided examples to users that included advice on logging out of personal information platforms after use, and refraining from opening suspicious links on the web or signing documents without first reading them.
The Service is tasked with supervising the legality of personal data processing and law enforcement across Georgia.
