Georgian FIDE master Giorgi Akhvlediani wins Portugal Chess Tour of 2021/2022 season

The Georgian FIDE master Irakli Akhvlediani has won the Portugal Chess Tour of the 2021/2022 season, by obtaining the highest 220 points in various international tournaments held within the series, the Georgian Chess Federation said on Tuesday.

Akhvlediani played in the Guimarães Open and the Maia International Tournament in 2021, where he took ninth and second places, and participated in the Famalicão International Tournament in 2022, where he finished in eighth place.
