Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has congratulated the Armenian people on Christmas and Epiphany.

I congratulate our Armenian compatriots and brotherly Armenian people on the glorious holiday of Christmas and Epiphany,” Garibashvili stated.

He also noted that the ‘centuries-old history based of brotherhood and mutual respect’ between Georgia and Armenia is determined by ‘good-neighbourly and friendly relations.’

I wish everyone peace, health, joy and success,” said Garibashvili.

The Georgian Orthodox Church, together with other members of the Orthodox world, celebrates Christmas on January 7, due to the two-week difference between the Gregorian and Julian calendars.
