Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has congratulated the Armenian Apostolic Church on Christmas and Epiphany from the Saint George’s Church (Surb Gevorg) in Tbilisi.
Merry Christmas and Happy Epiphany to one of the oldest Christian denominations, the Armenian Apostolic Church and its parishioners in Georgia and around the world. May this day bring peace, health and prosperity to each of you and may you celebrate this great celebration of light and goodness many times,” Zurabishvili said.

The Georgian Orthodox Church, together with other members of the Orthodox world, celebrates Christmas on January 7, due to the two-week difference between the Gregorian and Julian calendars
