Georgian wrestler Giorgi Terashvili claimed a silver medal in the 73 kg category at the World Judo Juniors Championships in Ecuador on Thursday.
The 19-year-old athlete collected the medal after conceding the final match of the weight division 0:1 to Japan’s Tanaka Ryuga.
Terashvili had defeated German, Ecuadorian, Moroccan and Hungarian athletes to reach the final fixture of the contest.
The Georgian national Paralympic judo team has returned from the Egyptian Pyramids International Championships with four medals.
