Georgian Interior Ministry team claim 2 gold medals at World Police and Fire Games

The team of the Georgian Interior Ministry claimed two gold medals at this year’s World Police and Fire Games in Rotterdam, the Ministry said on Monday.

Teimuraz Kalandadze, the Director of the Shida Kartli Police Department, claimed a gold after defeating his opponent in the 74 kg weightlifting, while Levan Giligashvili, an employee of the Patrol Police Department, took the first place after competing in the 83 kg category in the same discipline.

Other representatives of the Ministry are scheduled to compete in different types of sports in the contest set to close on July 31.
