Current fleet of yellow minibuses in Tbilisi to be replaced in February

Current fleet of yellow minibuses in Georgia's capital of Tbilisi will be fully replaced with new blue minibuses in February, Tbilisi Transport and Urban Development Agency reported earlier today.

Out of 1,000 new minibuses in Tbilisi, 450 are already operating, while the remaining 550 will start operating in February.

New fare system for public transport in Tbilisi will also come into force in February.

Passengers will be able to choose among several travel passes:

  •  Unlimited one-day travel pass for 3 GEL.
  •  Unlimited one-week travel pass for 20 GEL
  •  Unlimited one-month travel pass for 40 GEL
  •  Unlimited three-month travel pass for 100 GEL
  •  Unlimited sixth-month travel pass for 150 GEL
  •  Unlimited one-year travel pass for 250 GEL

Ticket offices at Metro stations and Bank of Georgia Express Bank branches have already started selling travel passes.
