Georgian judoka Beka Gviniashvili won the Zagreb Grand Prix on Sunday by defeating his Brazilian rival Rafael Macedo in the 90- kg category of the competition.

Gviniashvili scored two waza-aris in the match, culminating in an ippon later in the encounter.

With his win, the Georgian athlete scored his 26th International Judo Federation World Tour medal.

Ilia Sulamanidze, 21, claimed silver in the Grand Prix after conceding the 100kg category final to Germany’s Michael Korrel.
