Georgian judoka Beka Gviniashvili has won the Osaka Grand Slam 2019 today, defeating his Uzbek rival Davlat Bobonov in the under 90kg category.

The International Judo Federation (IJF) said, Gviniashvili, 24, "picked up Bobonov for ippon in trademark Georgian fashion as he put an exclamation mark on his win by conquering the impressive Asian judoka".
With 481 athlets from 87 nations, the Osaka Grand Slam is held in the Japanese town of Osaka on November 22-24.
