Parliament Defence and Security Committee Chair, Romanian PM discuss security matters

The partnership between Georgia and Romania and the impact of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine were discussed on Thursday in a meeting between Irakli Beraia, the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Defence and Security, and Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă. 

The two officials reviewed the defence and security cooperation and impacts of the ongoing conflict on the on Black Sea regional security and the Euro-Atlantic area, the Press Office of the Georgian Parliament said.

Ciucă underlined his “strong support” for Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration in the meeting.

The sides also stressed the importance of further strengthening and deepening the partnership between their countries.
