Law enforcement agencies seize “military hardware spare parts” in Georgia’s north-east

The Georgian State Security Service and Interior Ministry have seized presumed spare parts of armoured military vehicles following a search of a location adjacent to a house in the country’s north-eastern Dusheti municipality.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Service said the parts - for “various types of military armour” - had been stored near a citizen's house.
It also said the items had been found during a search launched after a judge had issued a warrant for the operation, adding professionals were examining the recovered parts.
The crime is punishable by three to six years imprisonment.
Georgian police have arrested four individuals in Tbilisi and other regions of the country on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Thursday.

Police have arrested 10 individuals in Tbilisi and regions on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Saturday.
The Ministry revealed law enforcement had seized Makarov and Nagant type pistols, 219 cartridges, two muzzle loaders and other arms during a related search of houses.
The crime is punishable by four to 11 years in prison.
