Georgian athlete Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze has claimed two gold medals at the 2022 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
Tsivtsivadze was the fastest in the final for men’s junior C1 category for 1,000 metre distance, covering the range in 3 minutes and 58 seconds.
The young athlete also claimed gold in the 200-metre sprint race on Saturday, finishing with a time of 41.2 seconds.
The result marks the second European Champion’s title for Tsivtsivadze. He claimed his first gold medal at the 2021 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poland.
The Belgrade championships took place between Thursday and Sunday.

Georgian canoeist Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze has won the 2021 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poznan, Poland. He was the fastest athlete in the men's junior C1 1000 metres final, followed by Maksim Karataev from Russia and Jonas Boettinger from Germany.
Georgian canoeist Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze won the 2022 ICF Junior and U23 Sprint World Championships in Szeged, Hungary on Sunday. Tsivtsivadze was the first athlete in the men’s junior C1 500 metres final. He reached the finish in 1 minute and 53 seconds.
