The European Union membership questionnaire submitted by the Georgian Government, the progress made by the country on its European integration path, and relevant reforms were discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the European Union Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic.
The officials discussed the future steps for the country on the integration path and noted the progress made in this process, including the implementation of the 2014 Association Agreement with the EU, the Government Administration said.
Garibashvili noted Georgia had already implemented 45% of the reforms envisaged under the AA. He also stressed European integration was the choice not only of his Government but also of the Georgian public, adding the country would continue to implement “complex reforms” along the path.
