Georgian Prime Minister attends gala dinner, award ceremony of GLOBSEC

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the members of his Government’s delegation attended the gala dinner and the award ceremony at the Global Security Forum on Thursday.

The event, hosting the heads of delegations and delegates of the countries participating in the forum, was held at the Bratislava Palace, the Government Administration said.

At the venue the Transatlantic Award of Czechia and Slovakia was presented to the Ukrainian people. Eduard Heger, the Slovakian Prime Minister, presented the award to the representatives of the Ukrainian delegation. The Award is given every two years to individuals who have made “significant contributions” to freedom and democracy in Central Europe.

The award was also presented on Thursday to Brigadier General Karel Řehka, the Director of the National Office for Cyber ​​and Information Security of Czechia.

GLOBSEC is hosting delegates from 67 countries, including 10 presidents and prime ministers, and among the forum delegates are foreign and defence ministers from various countries.
