As part of his official visit to the United States, Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili met with members of the America-Georgia Business Council on Wednesday to discuss “priority areas” of bilateral economic relations, the Georgian Ministry of Economy said.
Davitashvili discussed recent economic developments in Georgia, with the meeting also involving a review of interest shown by American businesses for energy, transport, logistics, communications, finance and other sectors of the Georgian economy.
The Ministry said "special emphasis was placed on the development of information technology and the use of renewable energy sources".
In remarks following the meeting, the Minister said Georgia was “the most stable country in the [South Caucasus] region, with the most predictable economic environment for the United States [businesses]".
