Georgian Economy Minister to visit US for meetings with officials, businesses

Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili will be on a visit to the United States between Monday and Wednesday to hold meetings with public officials and private sector representatives, the Ministry announced on Monday. 

The Georgian official will meet Katherine Tai, the US Trade Representative, along with James John, the Mission Chief of the International Monetary Fund, during the visit, in addition to a meeting at the country’s development finance institution - the US International Development Finance Corporation.

Davitashvili will also be hosted at the Congress to discuss the “priority political questions” between the two countries, the Ministry said.

Meetings with business will include those with America Georgia Business Council member companies, to discuss Georgia's economic trends and matters of bilateral economic relations.

Additionally, meetings at the Export-Import Bank of the US and the US Agency for International Development are also scheduled.
