Georgian Prime Minister’s  visit to Poland “very productive” in helping Ukraine - Foreign Minister

Ilia Darchiashvili, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, described Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s visit to Poland and participation in the International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine as “very productive“ on Friday. 

Mobilising humanitarian aid and “relevant resources” to assist Ukraine amid the Russian aggression had been the focus of the visit, Darchiashvili said during a briefing held in the Government Administration on Friday.

Garibashvili on Thursday featured in the high-level International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine that was attended by leaders of a number of countries to pledge “continued support” for Ukraine.

The PM took part in the Conference hosted at the Warsaw National Stadium, and was welcomed by his Polish and Swedish counterparts Mateusz Morawiecki and Magdalena Anderson. The head of the Georgian Government addressed the participating leaders at a charity session during the conference.
