Georgian PM attends Ukraine Donors’ Conference to vow “continued support”

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, on Thursday featured in the high-level International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine that was attended by leaders of a number of countries to pledge “continued support” for Ukraine, the Government Administration said.

The PM took part in the Conference hosted at the Warsaw National Stadium, and was welcomed by his Polish and Swedish counterparts Mateusz Morawiecki and Magdalena Anderson. 

The conference participants - also including prime ministers of Spain, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Croatia, Iceland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Norway - reviewed the situation created by the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine and discussed ways to resolve the humanitarian and economic crisis. They also heard a video address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 

The head of the Georgian Government addressed the participating leaders at a charity session during the conference.

Co-hosted by the prime ministers of Poland and Sweden in partnership with the Presidents of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, the Conference also saw participation by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili and Ambassador of Georgia to Poland Zurab Beridze.
