Bilateral relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as the regional situation amid the war in Ukraine were topics of discussion between Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and Azerbaijani National Assembly Speaker Sahiba Gafarova on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the officials highlighted the importance of strengthening political, economic and cultural ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Zourabichvili pointed out that the South Caucasus region needed “peace and stability” in order to achieve its “full potential.”
For our region to develop to its full potential, be it economic, transit or even cultural, what we need is peace and stability.
