The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs launched a campaign on Tuesday to raise awareness against organised crime in the country.

“Know that the law protects you!” is the official motto of the campaign, which aims to raise public awareness on how to fight against organised crime and to increase public’s level of trust in police.

During the presentation, Mamuka Chelidze, the Director of the Central Criminal Police Department, presented a report on the activities carried out by his department, pointing out the measures taken to tackle organised crimes.

The opening event was attended by the representatives of the European Union Delegation, the US Embassy and various Georgian ministries.
