There will be no “second front” opened in Georgia amid the war in Ukraine, and the Government will “continue to protect” its citizens, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Monday.

In comments at the weekly Government meeting, Garibashvili said “[t]here will be no second front in Georgia, we will not allow this and will continue to protect our citizens and our state.”

The Government Administration also cited Garibashvili on stressing the importance of maintenance of “peace [and] stability” and promotion of development in Georgia on the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine.
