Education Ministry: all public, private schools ready to resume in-person studies on January 17

The Georgian Ministry of Education has reported that all public and private schools in Georgia are ready to resume in-person studies on January 17.

The Ministry also allows an option of remote learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In case of in-person studies, all students in grades 1-12 will have to wear face masks, while the state will keep providing mandatory testing for teachers. As of now, 73% of school teachers and administration representatives are vaccinated, the Ministry wrote.

The Ministry noted that school administrations will regularly inform parents regarding safety measures at schools.
