France will allow Georgian citizens to find legal employment in the country by the end of 2021, Head of the Department of Migration, Repatriation and Refugee Issues of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Giorgi Bunturi told the Georgian Public Broadcaster earlier today.
Bunturi said it is upon the French side how quickly they will fulfill their obligations in order for the legal employment program to be launched in the country.
Georgia and France have already signed an agreement, which has already entered into force. As of now, consultations are underway with France to move to the implementation process. We [Georgia and France] hope that the legal employment program will be launched by the end of 2021”, said Bunturi.

Giorgi Bunturi also told the Georgian Public Broadcaster that up to 50 different field professionals, including barmen, representatives of the construction sector, cooks will be able to find legal temporary jobs in France.
Starting today Georgian citizens can apply for legal employment in Israel for a one-year term as part of an agreement signed between Israel and Georgia on April 9, announces the Ministry of Health of Georgia.
About 1,000 Georgian home care specialists will be able to find legal employment in Israel.
Georgia is negotiating with France, Greece and Israel on seasonal employment, announces Health Minister candidate Ekaterine Tikaradze. A similar agreement has already been reached with Germany where Georgian citizens will be able to find temporary legal employment in the agriculture sector for a maximum of 90 days starting April 2021.
Starting February 15 Germany will allow Georgian citizens to find legal employment in the country's agriculture sector, said German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch after a meeting with Georgian Minister of Internally Displaced Persons, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Ekaterine Tikaradze.
In total 1,132 Georgian citizens have already registered for one-year employment program in Israel, while there are only 1,000 vacancies available for home care specialists in 2021.
In total 98,443 Georgian citizens have already registered for temporary legal employment in Germany, while there are 1,427 Georgian citizens who have registered for the same programme in Israel, announces the State Employment Promotion Agency of Georgia.
Unemployment rate in Georgia increased by 2.1 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year and reached 20.6 percent across the country, data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia shows.
Georgia is negotiating with nine European countries to allow temporary legal employment of Georgian nationals, a report by the Georgian Government, submitted to the country’s Parliament on Wednesday, said.
