Georgia is negotiating with France, Greece and Israel on seasonal employment, announces Health Minister candidate Ekaterine Tikaradze.

A similar agreement has already been reached with Germany where Georgian citizens will be able to find temporary legal employment in the agriculture sector for a maximum of 90 days starting April 2021.

Registration for the programme started on February 15 and will continue throughout the year on the website https://workabroad.moh.gov.ge. Over 53,000 Georgian citizens have already registered for seasonal employment in Germany so far.

Tikaradze said that negotiations with Cyprus are also being considered.

The seasonal employment programme was supposed to start in 2020, though was temporarily delayed due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
