Georgia has reported 537 new cases of coronavirus, 128 recoveries and eight deaths in the past 24 hours.
29,652 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 22,203 of the 29,652 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,449 were PCR tests.
The country has had 275,685 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
268,693 of the 275,685 patients have recovered, while 3,658 have died of the virus.
Currently 3,308 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 537 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 290 cases
- Adjara - 18 cases
- Imereti - 79 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 28 cases
- Shida Kartli - 29 cases
- Guria - 16 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 23 cases
- Kakheti - 37 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 6 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 3 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 8 cases

1,376 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 258 of the 1,376 patients are in critical condition. 85 of the 258 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
5,150 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 3,036,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.

Georgian health officials and doctors have received their first doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine earlier today live on TV. The country received 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine on March 13 with the help of UNICEF. Deputy head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Paata Imnadze was the first who got the jab. After the vaccination he said that ‘I feel great’ and called on people, especially doctors to vaccinate.
Georgia has reported 268 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 9,387 PCR tests and 17,012 rapid tests over the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 233 individuals have recovered from coronavirus in Georgia, while five infected patients have died. The number of active coronavirus cases stands at 3,078 now.
European Union Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell has congratulated Georgia on the arrival of the 43,200 doses of Covid-19 vaccine earlier today. The first 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine arrived in Georgia this morning.
On March 15, the first day when coronavirus vaccination started in Georgia, 668 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine and 4,202 medical workers were registered for it, announces the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Georgian health officials have requested the Georgian church, ‘as the most trusted institution’ in the country, to encourage people to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
