Georgia reports 382 new cases of coronavirus of 27,167 tests

Georgia has reported 382 new cases of coronavirus, 313 recoveries and seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
27,167 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 18,542 of the 27,167 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,625 were PCR tests.
The country has had 276,067 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
269,006 of the 276,067 patients have recovered, while 3,665 have died of the virus.
Currently 3,370 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 382 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 199 cases
- Adjara - 23 cases
- Imereti - 65 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 13 cases
- Shida Kartli - 19 cases
- Guria - 13 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 13 cases
- Kakheti - 30 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 0 case
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1 case
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 6 cases

1,405 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 268 of the 1,405 patients are in critical condition. 80 of the 268 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
5,339 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 3,063,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Georgian health officials have requested the Georgian church, ‘as the most trusted institution’ in the country, to encourage people to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
On March 15, the first day when coronavirus vaccination started in Georgia, 668 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine and 4,202 medical workers were registered for it, announces the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Georgia has reported 537 new cases of coronavirus, 128 recoveries and eight deaths in the past 24 hours.
Georgian health officials and doctors have received their first doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine earlier today live on TV. The country received 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine on March 13 with the help of UNICEF. Deputy head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Paata Imnadze was the first who got the jab. After the vaccination he said that ‘I feel great’ and called on people, especially doctors to vaccinate.
