Coronavirus: Georgia reports 2,090 new cases, 1,768 recoveries, 76 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,090 new cases of coronavirus, 1,768 recoveries and 76 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 7 days stands at 5.52%.

A total of 29,954 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 48,640 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 26,892 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,748 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 921,419 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

878,022 of the 921,419 infected individuals have recovered, while 13,443 have died from the virus.

The new 2,090 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 946 cases 
  • Adjara - 155 cases 
  • Imereti - 309 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 93 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 115 cases 
  • Guria - 74 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 150 cases 
  • Kakheti - 131 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 66 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 26 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 25 cases

5,157 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,276 of them are in intensive care units. 303 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

23,820 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,273,858 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of COVID-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,118,799 have been fully vaccinated.
