Georgian police have arrested four individuals for the illegal purchase and possession of large quantities of drugs in Tbilisi, Zugdidi and Marneuli, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) reports.
The MIA reports that one out of the four arrested individuals has been convicted of similar crimes several times in the past.
During a search of residences, police seized psychoactive substances, 31 packages of heroin, nine packages of methadone, and dozens of pills of suboxone.
The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
