Police have arrested a 34-year-old foreign citizen for selling drugs online in Tbilisi earlier today.
The Interior Ministry reports that the man was arrested when he intended to deliver methadone-containing drugs for further sale to various spots in Nadzaladevi district.
Overall, 157 packages of narcotics have been seized from the detainee’s car and apartment where he was living.
The illegal purchase and possession of large amounts of drugs is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
Georgian law enforcers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have detained 11 drug dealers in Ponichala district in Tbilisi and in Marneuli earlier today. The detainees have been accused of the illegal purchase, possession and sale of drugs in especially large quantities.
A foreign citizen, identified as R.V. and born in 1988, was detained for drug crime in Tbilisi yesterday. The Georgian Interior Ministry has reported that R.V. was involved in the scheme of online drug sale.
