Georgia’s Gubanova wins figure skating ISU Challenger Series

Georgia's Anastasia Gubanova has won a gold medal at the International Skating Union (ISU) Challenger Series 'Golden Spin of Zagreb' held in Croatia.
Gubanova earned a total of 184.29 points in the tournament, scoring best among 23 competitors from 15 countries.
The 19-year-old figure skater claimed a silver medal in the same competition back in 2018.
Georgia's Anastasia Meletkina and Daniil Parkman who competed in pairs in the tournament won a silver medal with 189.6 points, while another Georgian pair, Karina Safina and Luka Berulava claimed 7th place with 179.33 points.
Figure skater Moris Kvitelashvili earned Georgia its second qualification spot for the 2022 Winter Olympics, after adding to the success of Alina Urushadze at the World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm on the weekend.
