Coronavirus: Georgia reports 3,542 new cases, 2,234 recoveries, 64 deaths

Georgia has reported 3,542 new COVID-19 cases, 2,234 recoveries, and 64 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 7.93%.

57,978 tests were conducted throughout the country in the last 24 hours. 34,558 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 23,420 were PCR tests. 

In total, 44,705 individuals remain infected in the country.

The 3,542 new cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,648 cases 
  • Adjara - 187 cases 
  • Imereti - 558 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 182 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 251 cases 
  • Guria - 85 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 276 cases 
  • Kakheti - 154 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 117 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 64 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 20 cases

As of today, 6,164 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. 1,560 of them are in intensive care unit. 334 patients are on artificial ventilation.

37,367 infected individuals are undergoing treatment at home. 

Overall, 1,227,658 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,042,961 people have been fully vaccinated.
