Interior ministry detains 5 wanted by Interpol

The Georgian Interior Ministry has detained five individuals thanks to an Interpol red notice requested by Turkey.

The five individuals have been put on the wanted list as far back as 2017 up to 2021 for various crimes, ranging from sexual and physical assault, kidnapping, robbery and involvement in prostitution. 

All of the five individuals were detained in the Georgian Black Sea town of Batumi, and will be extradited back to Turkey.
