Georgian police have detained a Russian citizen wanted under a red notice by Interpol.

The Russian citizen, identified only as A.L., is accused of human trafficking, financial extortion, and engaging a minor in prostitution.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports that the Russian citizen has been residing in Georgia since January 2020.

The Russian federation announced A.L. as wanted on the national level in August 2020.

The General Secretariat of Interpol declared an international search for the Russian citizen under the red notice in November 2020.
