Covid-19 in Georgia: 2,191 new cases, 4,348 recoveries, 74 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,191 new cases of coronavirus, 4,348 recoveries and 74 deaths over the last 24 hours.
21,477 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 13,204 of the 21,477 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,273 were PCR tests.
Out of the 2,191 new cases, 1,017 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

A total of 6,916 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, 46 patients are under quarantine, and 1,302 individuals are at clinical hotels as of today.
2,005,229 individuals have been vaccinated against coronavirus in the country.
Georgia has reported 5,340 new cases of coronavirus, 3,631 recoveries and 62 deaths in the past 24 hours.
A total of 117 medical workers and 17 pregnant women have died from Covid-19 in Georgia since the outbreak of the virus in February 2020 as of October 1, 2021, the Georgian National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says in its recently released report. Between February 2020 and October 1, 2021 healthcare workers accounted for 6.4% of total confirmed cases.
The Polish government has gifted 468,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Georgia which will enter the country by the end of the week.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has announced that pensioners who are vaccinated against COVID-19 before January 1, 2022, will receive 200 GEL (about $63.29 / €54.71) pension bonuses. At a government session held earlier today, Garibashvili said that in order to encourage vaccination among the elderly, pensioners will receive 200 GEL bonuses after their first vaccine doses.
Covid-19 ‘green’ passes will come into force in Georgia starting December 1, obliging the public to present proof of vaccination, testing or recovery from Covid-19 when entering certain establishments.
