Georgia has reported 5,340 new cases of coronavirus, 3,631 recoveries and 62 deaths in the past 24 hours.
55,301 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 32,544 of the 55,301 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 22,757 were PCR tests.
Georgia has reported 743,511 cases of coronavirus since February 26,2020, of which 681,919 individuals have recovered, while 10,300 have died from the virus.
51,266 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

9.45 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

6,666 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,645 of 6,666 patients are in critical condition.
43,358 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.
42,434 individuals are in self-isolation.
1,995,150 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which 948,507 have been completely vaccinated.
A total of 117 medical workers and 17 pregnant women have died from Covid-19 in Georgia since the outbreak of the virus in February 2020 as of October 1, 2021, the Georgian National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says in its recently released report. Between February 2020 and October 1, 2021 healthcare workers accounted for 6.4% of total confirmed cases.
The Polish government has gifted 468,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Georgia which will enter the country by the end of the week.
Georgian health officials say that additional coronavirus-related restrictions will not be imposed in Georgia despite the surge of COVID-19 cases.
