Police have arrested two individuals, identified only as E.A. and R Ch., for attacking a member of a rally in support of imprisoned third President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili in Rustavi.
Police found that the suspects verbally and physically assaulted Giorgi Balkhamishvili, who participated in the rally in support of Mikheil Saakashvili at Rustavi No. 12 prison on November 3.
Following the incident, Balkhamishvili said that three individuals attacked him when he was returning home from the rally on November 3. He noted that one individual is a supporter of the Georgian Dream party.
The crime is punishable by up to three years in prison.
