Traffic movement to be restricted at Freedom Square tomorrow due to GD rally

Traffic movement will be restricted due to a rally planned by the ruling Georgian Dream party on October 27.

Movement will be banned on all streets connecting to Freedom Square – Shalva Dadiani, Kote Abkhazi and Giorgi Leonidze streets.

Traffic movement will be temporarily banned at Freedom Square starting midnight, October 27.

Drivers heading from Melikishvili Street to Mtatsminda district will be directed to Janashia, Tarkhnishvili, Tatishvili, Chovelidze, and Zandukeli via Petriashvili and onto Chonkadze.

Drivers heading from Mtatsminda district will be able to reach Melikishvili and metro station Rustaveli via Griboedov, Makashvili, Barnovi and Shanidze.

Traffic will be restricted on the section of road from Republic Square to Freedom Square starting 17:00 tomorrow.

GD head Irakli Kobakhidze urged the public to actively participate in municipal election run-offs on October 30 ‘to ensure the victory of the ruling party candidates in all 20 constituencies’.

The municipal election run-offs will be held in 20 of 64 majoral and majoritarian elections constituencies.
