Georgian freestyle wrestler Luka Kurtanidze has claimed the world championship among veterans for the fourth time in a row.

At the World Wrestling Championship held in Loutraki, Greece, the 49-year-old Kurtanidze beat Russian, Latvian, and Iranian opponents.

In total, Georgian freestyle wrestlers claimed 5 medals at the championship. Like Kurtanidze, Amiran Tsikvadze (70 kg) also became a world champion. 

Malkhaz Rozomashvili (78 kg) claimed silver, while Givi Sikharulidze (62 kg) and Shanshe Tlashadze (70 kg) received bronze medals.

World champions in Greco-Roman wrestling among veterans will be determined on 22-24 October.
