The opposition United National Movement majoritarian candidate for Isani constituency Khatia Dekanoidze has posted on her Facebook page that the light went out in the biggest polling stations in the western Georgian city of Kutaisi.
Provide light to the polling stations immediately so that people could cast their votes and to ensure that the vote counting process will be observed. Turning off the light will not save you. We will protect these polling stations to the end", posted Dekanoidze.
Energy company Energo-Pro Georgia says that the electricity was cut off after the power distribution feeder was switched off accidently.
In 10-15 minutes the light was restored everywhere", says Energo-Pro Georgia.
Light was off in several polling stations in the cities of Tbilisi and Rustavi today.
Georgia’s Central Election Commission says that power supply in two polling stations in Kutaisi was cut off for only a few minutes and in two polling stations in Rustavi, 'where generators have already been delivered'.
