Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and Ukrainian MP from the ruling Servant of the People party Liza Yasko have announced their relationship on Facebook earlier this evening.

Yasko, 31, posted a video on her Facebook page with Saakashvili in which the ex-president of Georgia, who was detained by Georgian law enforcement just several hours ago, said that he had created a new family with Yasko.

The video was recorded before Saakashvili's departure to Georgia.

We are starting a new life, a new family. This is our amazing new relationship. I am very grateful for our past but we are having a fresh start, the two of us, Liza and me", said Saakashvili in a video.

Yasko captioned the video with this words:

Love and fight for your state is the most noble thing! And I support his fight. Because only real fighters with such a big heart and love for their state can change the world! Only people like Misha are ready to risk their homeland. I fully support him".

The video published by Yasko goes viral in Georgian social media.

About two hours ago Yasko posted on her Facebook that Saakashvili was detained in Tbilisi and was transferred to a holding facility Rustavi.

Five hours earlier she checked into a location in Truskavets, Ukraine, in the same city where the ruling Georgian Dream MP Mamuka Mdinaradze said that Saakashvili was instead of Batumi.

Saakashvili until now has been officially married to Sandra Roelofs. The couple got married in 1993 in New York. An official  announcement about their divorce has not been made yet.

They have two sons Eduard and Nikoloz.
