Georgia reports 1,698 new cases of coronavirus, 1,910 recoveries, 38 deaths

Georgia has reported 1,698 new cases of coronavirus, 1,910 recoveries and 38 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

22,635 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

25,692  tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 15,310 of the 25,692 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,382 were PCR tests.

The country has had 603,763 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

6.46 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

573,353 of the 603,763 patients have recovered, while 8,749 have died from the virus.

The new 1,698 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 518 cases 
  • Adjara - 120 cases 
  • Imereti - 325 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 92 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 72 cases 
  • Guria - 52 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 190 cases 
  • Kakheti - 250 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 21 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 45 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 13 cases

4,810 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,087 of the 4,810 patients are in critical condition. 306 of the 1,087 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

16,861 individuals are undergoing treatment at home. 

19,039 individuals are in self isolation. 

More than 8,700,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.

1,715,073 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  751,410 have been completely vaccinated.
