Georgia reports 2,016 new cases of coronavirus, 2,024 recoveries, 43 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,016 new cases of coronavirus, 2,024 recoveries and 43 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

A total of 23,925 people remain infected with Covid-19 in the country. 

29,798 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 16,852 of the 29,798 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,946 were PCR tests. 

6.92 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

In total 567,797 of the 600,412 patients have recovered, while 8,664 have died from the virus.

The new 2,016 cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 708 cases 
  • Adjara - 130 cases 
  • Imereti - 289 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 145 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 103 cases 
  • Guria - 63 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 188 cases 
  • Kakheti - 301 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 37 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 29 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 23 cases

5,231 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,199 of the 5,231 patients are in critical condition. 310 of the 1,199 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

Overall 17,749 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

19,486 individuals are in self-isolation.

1,686,412 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, out of which 729,995 people have been fully vaccinated.
